Eric Rodriguez – Executive Director, 2002 - present

Eric Rodriguez began working with the Latino Union as a day laborer organizer in 2002. Mr. Rodriguez became director of the organization in 2008. Originally from Chicago, Mr. Rodriguez relies on his background in environmental and community organizing in Humboldt Park.  He will graduate in 2009 with a degree in Non-profit Management. During his tenure at the Latino Union, Mr. Rodriguez has facilitated the establishment of systems operations at the Albany Park Workers’ Center and supported the worker-led promotion initiative. 

B. Loewe – Planning Director, 2003 - present

B. Loewe joined the Latino Union in the Fall of 2003 as grant writer and legal liaison.  Currently working as the organization’s Planning Director as well as lead program staff in Cicero, Mr. Loewe draws upon his previous experience in international labor unions, racial justice projects, and legal services for the incarcerated.  Originally from Maryland, Mr. Loewe will graduate with a Bachelors degree in Community Development in 2008.  During his time at the Latino Union, it has transformed from an all-volunteer organization to its current size and transitioned from fiscal sponsorship to an independent 501(c)3 organization. 

Patricio Ordoñez

Albany Park Workers’ Center Coordinator, 2005 - present

Originally from Ecuador, Patricio Ordoñez joined the Latino Union as a day laborer who sought employment at the Albany Park Workers’ Center.  In December, 2005 he joined the staff as part-time coordinator where he manages job distribution, marketing and job promotion, as well as leadership development amongst workers. 

Gonzalo Cruz Carreon – South Side Organizer, 2007 – present

Mr. Cruz Carreon became an organizer when an NDLON organization in New York intervened in labor abuses in the factory in which we was working. After coordinating Workers' Centers in New York, he moved to Chicago and has coordinated worker organizing on the southside, the Cicero Seguro Campaign, and "What to Do in Case of Raids" Trainings.
